2007 XC: Finished the season as the team's number two runner at the NCAA Regional meet, running a personal-best 6K time of 22:45.71. She competed in all seven team events, finishing as the number three runner on two occasions. Ran a season-best 5K time of 18:35.12 at the Greater Louisville Classic, earning her the 41st position and the number three spot for the Falcons in the race. Finished 31st at both the Mel Brodt Invitational and the Falcon Invitational with times of 18:56.62 and 18:53.41, respectively. Took home the 34th-position at the All-Ohio Championships with a time of 19:51.3.

2007: Finished third in the 3,000-meters at the BGSU Quad...Fifth int he 3,000-meters at the indoor All-Ohio Championship.

2006 XC: Finished the season as the team's number four runner at the NCAA Regional meet where she finished with a time of 23:10, a 6K personal-best as well as improving by 37 spots from the previous year.

2006: During the outdoor season, Butler ran a personal best of 20:34.13 in the 5,000-meter at the All-Ohio Championships. She also ran a personal-best in the 10,000-meter at the Hillsdale Relays with a time of 42:16.24.

2005 Cross Country:In her first year on the Falcon squad, Kara Butler stepped up as the number three runner for the last two meets of the season, earning her Most Valuable Freshman honors. She ran a 5K personal-best time of 18:34 at the Falcon Invitational and a 6K PR of 23:51 at the Great Lakes Regional.

High School: Kara Butler helped lead her high school team to two consecutive State meets in 2003 and in 2004. She placed 33rd in the 2004 Division I State meet. She was a member of the all area girls' Cross Country Dream Team pick by the Lansing State Journal in 2004. She was named to the Top-10 Senior Athlete in CAAC League in 2004-2005. In track she helped her 4x800m relay team to a sixth place finish at the 2005 state finals. She was the Valedictorian of her class and vice-president of her National Honor Society.

Personal: She is the daughter of Paul and Jennifer Butler...born July 27, 1987...majoring in Biology.
