BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (BGSUFalcons.com) - The Bowling Green State University tennis team has moved up six spots in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association national rankings. The Falcons of head coach Penny Dean are ranked 54th in the nation in this week's rankings, released Tuesday (March 11).

BGSU, off to a school-record 11-0 start, debuted in last week's (March 4) ITA rankings in 60th, before moving up to 54th this week. The Brown and Orange, as mentioned, have set a record for best start to a season, and the current 11-match winning streak ties a BGSU record for longest winning streak (regardless of time of season).

The Falcons are in the midst of preparations for the Mid-American Conference opener, which will be March 21 at Eastern Michigan University. BGSU's next home match will be March 29 vs. Northern Illinois University.
