WENTZEL AND THE FALCONS: Helped BGSU to the 2004 MAC Tournament title, and both the regular-season and tourney titles in 2005 ... the Falcons advanced to the NCAA Championships each year ... part of the senior class that won 44 games at BG, by far the most wins over a four-year span in the history of the program ... helped the Falcons to four consecutive appearances in the MAC Tournament, after the team had never made back-to-back trips before. CAREER: Finished her BG career with a total of 24 points on four goals and 16 assists ... ended her tenure tied for seventh on the assists list and deadlocked for 13th in points ... played in a career total of 87 matches, tied for the second-most in BG annals, and made 57 starts. 2005: A team co-captain as the Falcons won the MAC's regular-season and tournament titles ... named the team's Defensive MVP, and also earned the Leslie Dawley 'Fighting Falcon' Award ... the latter award is given to the team member who, through words and actions, most accurately reflects the program's philosophy of 'Today I gave all that I have, for everything I left behind is gone forever' ... one of four players to start all 23 matches ... had seven points on a pair of goals and three assists ... all seven points came at Cochrane Field ... goals came in back-to-back home wins over Akron and Kent State midway through the season ... marker in the UA match was the lone score in a 1-0 victory ... had two assists vs. Cleveland State, and added one vs. Miami in the semifinal round of the MAC Tournament. 2004: Named to the MAC's All-Tournament Team ... saw action in 22 matches, starting 14 ... had seven points, on a goal and five assists ... was fifth on the team in assists ... had three points at Cleveland State, with a goal and an assist ... also had assists vs. Akron, Kent State, Northern Illinois and Western Michigan ... started each of the final seven matches of the season, during the stretch run. 2003: Saw action in all 23 matches, starting 17 ... named the Falcons' Most Improved Player ... totalled a goal and five assists on the season ... the goal, her first collegiate goal, came with just 44 seconds left off a Julie Trundle cross vs. Akron, and proved to be the winner in a 2-1 Falcon triumph ... had a pair of assists in a 4-3 win at Marshall, her first career multi-assist match ... also had helpers vs. Arizona State, Ball State and Buffalo ... assist total ranked her third on the team ... six of her seven points came in MAC matches. 2002: Played in 19 matches, making three starts ... had three assists ... assisted on the match-tying goal at Eastern Michigan, as Trundle headed home her cross with just six seconds left in regulation ... also had assists vs. Detroit and Western Michigan. High School: Earned three letters at Mason ('02) under coach Angie Edmonds ... helped the Comets to a Fort Ancient Valley Conference title and a pair of runner-up finishes during her three years ... twice earned All-FAVC honors, and was named to the all-area squad as a senior ... that year, MHS went 14-3-2 and won a district title ... had seven goals and eight assists as a senior, for three-year totals of 15 goals and 17 helpers ... also earned a pair of basketball letters, garnering the team's defensive MVP award as a senior ...
