Falcons Sign Three

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University gymnastics head coach Dan Connelly has announced the signing of three student-athletes. Kasey Fillmore (Danielson, Connecticut), Anna Podgornaya (Atlanta, Georgia), and Meg Satterlee (Cincinnati, Ohio) will be joining the Falcons in the 2007-08 academic year.

Fillmore, a Junior Olympic National Qualifier, placed 48th in the all-around in 2006. She also received the Hartford Courant Connecticut State Gymnast of the year in 2006. She currently trains at Deary's Gymnastics.

Podgornaya is currently training at the Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta. In 2006 she placed 5th on floor and 10th in the all-around at the Junior Olympic Regionals.

Satterlee is a three-time Junior Olympic National Qualifier. In 2005 she placed 3rd on the bars, 8th on beam, and 12th in the all-around. She is currently training at the Cincinnati Gymnastics Academy.

The Falcons open their 2006-07 season with the Brown and Orange Scrimmage on Saturday, Dec. 9. The meet starts at 2:00 p.m. inside the Eppler Complex.
