Achter in the 2008 WNIT: * In her final collegiate game, amassed 16 points - including 10 from the FT line.
* Versus Dayton, had a double-double and set two school records in the first round WNIT win. Achter had 15 points and a game-high 10 assists in the process of breaking the school's career and single season assist records. For her career, she has contributed 681 assists while dishing 230 this season. Achter now owns two of the top five single season assist tallies and is the only Falcon with the particular claim to fame.
Achter and the 2008 MAC Tournament: * In that 85-57 quarterfinal win over Kent State, Achter nearly double-doubled with nine pts. and 11 assists. She also went on to accumulate four steals, three rebounds and a steal. * In the semi-finals versus Ohio she had 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
* She is part of only the seventh senior class in MAC women's basketball history to win more than 100 games. Furthermore, along with classmate Whitney Taylor, holds the record for most wins (male or female) in a four-year career in the Mid-American Conference. She will graduate with a 108-23 (.824) overall record at BGSU. * Has been recognized as the MAC POW four times in 2007-08 and has won the award six times throughout career. * Named the 2008 MAC Player of the Year as well as a First Team All-MAC selection. Has earned All-MAC honors in each of her four seasons with BGSU. Twice ('06 and '07) she was named to the second team and also earned all-freshman accolades. Additionally, she is a three time MAC All-Tournament selection as well as the 2005 Tournament MVP. * Due to four trips to the postseason, including three NCAA Tournament and one WNIT showings, Achter has never ended her basketball season earlier that March 19 in any given year. She will graduate as a member of the only MAC Class of 2008 to have at least one postseason win on her basketball resume. |
