Steve Brudzewski: BGSU Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

Jan. 9, 2003

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Steve Brudzewski is the Bowling Green State University Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Brudzewski, a sophomore on the BGSU hockey team, scored a pair of goals in BGSU's contest Saturday (Jan. 4).

Brudzewski, a native of Dearborn, Mich., had his second two-goal game of the season, finding the back of the net twice against Alaska Fairbanks. Brudzewski is one of just two Falcons to have two goals in a game this year.

Brudzewski currently leads the Falcons with eight goals on the season, and he is tied for the team lead with 13 points. He has four goals in his last four games.

Brudzewski's other two-goal game this season came on Oct. 11, 2002, vs. Western Michigan.

Brudzewski, undecided on a major, entered the 2002-03 academic year with a 3.10 cumulative grade point average.

The Falcons of head coach Scott Paluch host Central Collegiate Hockey Association rival Northern Michigan for a pair of games this Friday and Saturday (Jan. 10-11). Faceoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the BGSU Ice Arena each night.
