BGSU Football Schedule Announced

Cleveland, Ohio -

The Mid-American Conference office announced the football schedule today for the 2000 season and Bowling Green will play five home games, including a Nov. 4 contest against defending league champion Marshall.

The Falcons open the season with three non-league games - Sept. 2 at Michigan, Sept. 9 at home against Pittsburgh, and Sept. 16 at Temple.

Bowling Green will begin MAC play on Sept. 23 when they travel to Buffalo to face the Bulls. The following week they make the trip to Kent to face the Golden Falshes.

On Oct. 7 they play their first league game at Perry Stadium hosting Akron. On Oct. 14 the Falcons travel to Oxford, Ohio to battle Miami before returning home on Oct. 21 to face Eastern Michigan.

After an open week, Bowling begins the stretch run of the season with a pair of home games - Nov. 4 against Marshall and Nov. 11 against Ohio.

They conclude the season on the road battling rival Toledo in a Nov. 18 contest.

Bowling Green is coming off a 5-6 season in which they finished fifth in the MAC East Division with a 3-5 mark.
