HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner for Norwalk High School • led the Truckers to the Northern Ohio League title his junior season • team finished 13-14 his senior year as he batted .340 and had 20 RBI, leading his team to the Sectional Championship for the fourth-straight season • hit .387 his junior season with 34 RBI • a three-time NOL first team selection and District 9 first team honoree • named team Most Valuable Player on two occasions and was the Most Valuable Pitcher three times • was selected to take part in the Mizuno All-Ohio game • also a letterwinner for the Truckers in football and basketball as he was a first team All-NOL and first team District 9 honoree at wide receiver.
