2006: Led the Falcons with 13 starts • his 2.69 ERA paced BGSU and was sixth best in the conference • allowed one run or less in just under half his starts (6/13) • also led the Falcons in innings pitched (80.1), strikeouts (52), starts (13) and batting average against (2.49) • did not allow an earned run in 8.0 innings pitched in a win over Toledo (4/14/06) • gave up just two hits and one run against Evansville (3/17/06) • did not record a win his first five starts despite averaging over five innings and owning a slim 2.16 ERA • first win of the season came against Western Michigan (3/13/06).

First-Team honors since Tony Fontana in 2000 • led the Falcons and
was 10th in the MAC with 3.05 ERA • led the team with 73.2 IPP while
leading the staff with 68 strikeouts • lone career loss came on March
12 vs. Indiana • his last seven decisions were victories • was within
two outs of recording a no-hitter on April 1 vs. Central Michigan,
pitching a career-long 8.1 innings • allowed three hits vs.
Chippewas, but combined with Matt Hundley for a 2-0 shutout victory •
struck out a career-high 10 at Northern Illinois on April 15 and was
named MAC Pitcher of the Week on April 16 • allowed over three runs
in an outing just once (eight vs. Miami, May 6) • held hitters to
.279 batting avg. • finished 5-0 with 2.78 ERA in six MAC starts,
including 35 of his career-high 68 strikeouts.
2004: Finished third on Falcon staff with 3.60 ERA in 40 IPP •had perfect 3-0 record in 16 total appearances • had 36 strikeouts and just 10 walks •pitched season-high 7.0 IPP with season-high five strikeouts in a victory vs. Toledo (May 16) • allowed just one run in that game on five hits •also struck out five in 5.0 IPP vs. Holy Cross in first career start (March 9) •gave up just seven extra-base hits •first career win was vs. Kent State (April 25) and also got the win vs. Western Michigan (May 23).
HIGH SCHOOL: Brech was a captain and four-year letterwinner for Harrison High School • was two-time Fort Ancient Valley Conference MVP, as well as first-team All-Ohio in 2002 and honorable mention All-Ohio in 2003 • team won 20 or more games his last three seasons • had pitching record of 20-4 over his final three seasons • also lettered in football and basketball.
