2007: Served as the Falcons top catcher, playing in 52 games and making 40 starts behind the dish • recorded at least one hit in seven of his last eight games as a Falcon • stroked a line drive homerun against IPFW (4/3) • began his season with a three-hit day at Middle Tennessee State that included an RBI and two runs scored • drove in at least one run in nine games • went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and an RBI in a 15-13 victory over Akron (4/22) • as the team's best bunter, he led the Falcons with nine sacrifice bunts and numerous bunt singles • picked off six base runners and threw out 20 potential base stealers, ranking first and second in the MAC, respectively • second on the team with four stolen bases in six attempts.

2004: Barnard appeared in 24 games, starting 14 behind the plate •had career-high three hits vs. IPFW (May 2) •scored a career-high three runs while going 2-for-4 vs. Toledo (May 16) •had a double vs. Rockets (May 16) • threw out 7-of-24 runners.

HIGH SCHOOL: Barnard was a captain and four-year letterwinner for Milford High School • helped his team win the Greater Miami Conference Championship two years in a row (2002 and 2003) • he was named Second-Team All-GMC and Honorable Mention All-City his senior year • helped guide Milford to state runner-up finish his junior and senior years • team was 56-8 those two seasons •batted .353 his senior year • also lettered in wrestling and football.
