Academic All-America First Team
2005: Tied for team-lead with 11 starts and had a MAC-best nine
victories, finishing 9-2 * the nine victories are the most by a
Falcon pitcher since 1999 when Jason Kelley had school-record 12 wins
* his 72.1 IPP and two complete games were new career-bests while his
56 strikeouts were also a career high * named MAC Pitcher of the Week
and MAC Scholar-Athlete of the Week on April 11 after pitching his
first career, complete-game shutout vs. Buffalo on April 10 (1-0 win)
* his 3.73 ERA was a new career-low and second-best among Falcon
starters * had two games with nine strikeouts * allowed just 13
extra-base hits (11 2B, 2 HR) * finished his career 4th all-time at
BGSU in appearances (70) and victories (17), sixth in career IPP
(234.2) and eighth in career strikeouts (177) * named BGSU Senior
Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year in April * named to Academic
All-District First Team and ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America
First Team, becoming just the second Falcon to earn this honor
* earned his degree in economics on May 7 with 3.94 GPA * drafted in
the 19th round (570th pick) on June 8 by the Detroit Tigers.
2004 All-MAC Academic Team
2004: Made a team-high and career-high 12 starts pitched a team-high and career-high 64 innings pitched a career-high eight innings at Buffalo (April 11) struck out a career-high 10 vs. Northern Illinois (April 18) struck out 40 with 23 walks earned victories at Dayton (Feb. 29), at Buffalo (April 11), and vs. Miami (May 8) named BGSU Junior Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
2003 All-MAC Academic Honorable Mention
2003: Made a career-high 20 appearances, second-best on the Falcon team earned his one win in 2.2 innings of relief work vs. Buffalo on March 23 pitched a season-high 6.1 innings (in relief) and had a season-high four strikeouts vs. WMU on May 4.
2002: Finished his freshman campaign with a 4-2 record in 19 appearances started eight games in 2001 had an ERA of 6.03 in 62.2 innings pitched pitched a season-high 8.0 innings against Ohio (April 7) posted season-best seven strikeouts versus both Toledo (April 28) and Kent (May 12) struckout a team-high 55 batters overall and team-high 32 in MAC play.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Was 5-2 on the mound as a senior for Perrysburg High School including a complete game two-hitter against Northern Lakes League rival Anthony Wayne in which he struck out nine batters and walked none right-hander established new school records his senior year in ERA (0.85), earned runs allowed (six), walks allowed (nine) and tied for most strikeouts (65), at the plate, batted .290 with three doubles, two triples and eight RBIs he was a two-year starter for coach Dave Hall on the mound and at shortstop was Perrysburg's Most Valuable Pitcher, Outstanding Senior and received the Yellow Jacket Award for best overall performance was also an All-Northern Lakes League selection Perrysburg finished the year 23-5, winning the NLL before losing in the sectional championship game was senior class vice-president was All-NLL and All-District in basketball as a senior.

Full name Burke Heinrich Badenhop born Feb. 8, 1983, in Atlanta, Georgia son of Dalynn and Sharon Badenhop both of Badenhop's parents attended BGSU, including his father, Dalynn, who played basketball for the Falcons in the early 1970s has one brother (Mark) and sister (Beth) majoring in business.
