Becki Wells is a volunteer assistant coach with the Bowling Green State University cross country programs. The sister of head coach Cami Wells, Becki works with both the BGSU men's and women's teams. "I am thrilled to have Becki here," said Cami Wells at the time of Becki's appointment. "She has a great deal of knowledge about distance running, and knows exactly what it takes to be successful at the NCAA Division I level and beyond." Becki was a two-time NCAA Champion in track and a 13-time collegiate All-American while at the University of Florida. She was the national champion in the 1,500 meters at the 1996 NCAA Indoor meet, and won the 1997 outdoor championship in the same event. Becki, who won 10 Southeastern Conference awards during her tenure, was the first athlete to win three SEC commissioner's trophies in indoor track. She was a three-time individual SEC champion in cross country, and was named the league's cross country runner of the year. She posted personal-best times of 2:03.78 in the 800m, 9:20 in the 3000m, 4:12.03 in the 1500m; 16:45 in the 500m and 4:33 in the mile. A native of Dickinson, N.D., she majored in recreational therapy at UF.
