Amanda Decker managed the women's track and field team at BGSU for four years as well as three years for the men's and women's cross country team. She also served two years as the primary media contact for the teams as a student assistant for the sports information department. She was the main media contact for the 2006 Indoor MAC Championships and will be for the 2006 NCAA Great Lakes Regional as well as the 2007 Indoor All-Ohio Championships. Decker, who graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor's in Education with an emphasis in sports communication, is a native of Brookline, New Hampshire, where she graduated from Hollis/ Brookline High School. While there, she managed the boys and girls cross country and track teams under the direction of her mentor and New Hampshire legendry coach Lou Korcoulis. During her four years, her teams won three state championships and claimed three more in the following two years. She won several awards, including Cavalier of the Year, an award given to her for her dedication to the school, not only as a manager of three sports teams, but as a student assistant in three departments, and a leader in several organizations at the high school. Decker is certified as a USA Track & Field official and is associated with the New England Chapter. She has also taken over duties as the BG Cross Country Alumni Society and serves as the president.
